Slowly but surely I am making my way back into full-time fantasy baseball coverage. Now that the fantasy football season has come to an end, I can focus all of my attention on the important matters — fantasy baseball draft prep. I’ll be doing full hot stove coverage and analysis throughout the next few weeks, likely in the form of ’2012 fantasy baseball team previews,’ as well as a full slate of 2012 player rankings by position. It’s going to be a busy January.
In the meantime, over at FanGraphs, I’ve just published the first part of my Top 10 High Risk Veterans. I’ve been looking at those players that you’re always lured into drafting yet have a track record of major time lost due to injuries. For the order, I’ve factored in a few things such as expected time lost to injury in 2012, likely cost of player on draft day, as well as what they can produce for you even with time spent on the DL. Some are certainly worth the risk, while some are not. Check it out and come back tomorrow for the second half of the list.
Here’s the link to Part 2!
