Allow me to offer a bit of sound fantasy baseball advice to you here on a beautiful Sunday morning…
While a few fantasy baseball magazines have hit the shelves already, one of the best has finally arrived. The Fantasy Baseball Guide 2012 is officially available at books stores and newsstands nationwide and you’re going to want to make sure you grab yourself a copy to help prepare for your upcoming fantasy baseball draft.
There are a number of things to love about the Guide this year — 1,400 player profiles, complete 2012 player rankings, winning fantasy baseball strategy articles, the famed Rookie Roundelay, and over 300 picks and pans from a slew of fantasy experts, just to name a few — but most of all, the fact that Editor-in Chief Peter Kreutzer (asktotoman.com) decided to publish it six weeks later than usual in order to have to most up to date information about free agent signings, position battles and depth charts.
Not to mention an article from yours truly located on page 16.
So pick up a copy today and you’ll be better prepared for your draft.
Good luck and I’ll see you all in the money this year!

I’m a huge fantasy baseball fan and I’ve been using this magazine for the last three seasons. I can’t imagine preparing for a draft without it. However, I’m currently located in Wales, UK and I obviously do not have direct access to this magazine. Do you know of a website I could purchase it from? Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no web site from which to order the magazine. I’m guessing that your best course of action is to try a book or magazine shop that specializes in international periodicals. If they don’t have it then they might be able to steer you in the right direction.
If not, then hopefully you have a friend that lives in the U.S. that can find you a copy and send it out to you.
In the meantime, if there are any specific questions you may have, feel free to post them here or email me at rotobuzzguy@gmail.com.
Good luck!
does anyone know where i can buy this magazine from? I’ve tried to look online for it but haven’t found any site offering it. I live in NY and was hoping i could get this magazine soon. Any help would be great. Thanks

You can try Barnes and Noble or Borders as they should be carrying it. If you’re in NYC, then there should be a variety of newsstands that carry the Guide, but if your local one doesn’t, perhaps there’s a magazine shop somewhere reasonably close. Unfortunately, I don’t have a list of the exact locations to which the magazine was shipped.
Good luck!
Howard-
Thanks i have called Barnes and Noble and they dont carry it. I will try calling Borders to see if they carry it otherwise i will have to hit up some newstands and see if they got it. I wish there was a way to order it online. You’d figure in this day and age that it would be available online somewhere.
Thanks again!
Hey Howard,
I’m contacting you a couple of days in advance of my draft this year… Hanson & Heyward are gone in trades that allowed me to finish 2nd place in my league last year. So I need to pick 5 keepers from the pool of these guys :
Ellsbury
Stanton
Duda
Gallardo
Norris
Britton
Worley
Niese
Westbrook
Johan Santana
Ellsbury, Stanton, & Gallardo are as close to 100% locks as I could conceive of… really making it pick 2 of the other 7…
Your best advice will be greatly appreciated,
Seth
Seth –
Congrats on last year’s 2nd place finish. Hopefully we can build on that and grab you a title this year. The final two keepers I would hold off your list would be Norris and Duda.
Norris is normally grabbed for his strikeouts, but last year was a nice step forward for him even though his K/9 took a slight hit. His ERA fell very nicely for the season and while he notched fewer strikeouts, he actually improved his K/BB ratio and became a more complete pitcher. Hopefully this year he at least maintains that level, if not improves just a little more.
Now I’m not the biggest Duda fan out there, but with 15-20 HR power, a decent average and eligibility both at first and in the outfield, I feel like he’s a better choice than protecting middling starters. He should suit you fine as a third or fourth outfielder or even as a corner infielder.
Good luck!!
