I just thought that this last week might have been better for him. What can you do? Yes, since Buehrle's perfect game, he has had some rough starts. I was taking a shot based on his matchups for the week. To me, it doesn't matter if a pitcher is the first to 10 losses. Wins and losses can be too easily affected by bullpens.I was putting Liriano's sleeper status based on recent performance and certain improvements he appeared to be making. His trip to the DL did not come until after his first start (albeit a horrible one) which was a few days after the article was published. To me, it doesn’t matter if a pitcher is the first to 10 losses. Wins and losses can be too easily affected by bullpens.I was putting Liriano’s sleeper status based on recent performance and certain improvements he appeared to be making. Before those two good outings he gave up two 5 run games and a 7 run game. So mark shoudn't be the start of the week. Francisco liriano shoudn't be a green light pitcher because he was the first pitcher in the majors to 10 loses and you can't blame the twins batting for not being productive because they have a bunch of good batters on the team. It doesn't help that he is on the DL either.
